WorkPro — Field Workforce Management App
WorkPro is a hybrid mobile application built by Spoorthy Innovations for field workforce management. It combines native Android capabilities with web-based content delivery — enabling field teams to record work entries, capture GPS locations, take photographic evidence and sync data in real time. The app works seamlessly in offline mode for areas with poor or no internet connectivity.

WorkPro App — Key Capabilities
Offline-First Architecture
Users can log in, fill forms and submit work entries without internet. Data is queued locally and auto-syncs with exponential backoff retry when connectivity returns. Offline sessions valid for 7 days with JWT token persistence.
GPS Location Tracking
Every work entry is automatically geo-tagged with precise GPS coordinates. Multi-provider support (GPS, Network, Passive) ensures location capture even indoors. Last-known location caching for instant access.
Camera & File System
Native camera integration for capturing photographic evidence on-site. Gallery access, image compression for optimised uploads, secure temporary file handling and support for multiple file types.
In-App APK Update (FOTA)
The app checks the server for new versions, downloads APK in the background with progress tracking and auto-triggers installation — no Play Store required. Force-update capability for critical patches.
Cascading Offline Dropdowns
BOQ (Bill of Quantities) data is pre-downloaded and cached. The full hierarchy — Vendor → Project → DC → Activity → Schedule → Feeder → Item → MSP — cascades properly even without internet.
Device-Level Security
Unique hardware UUID device binding, encrypted local storage, CSRF token protection, SSL/TLS for all communication, session expiry after inactivity and certificate-pinning ready infrastructure.
Dashboard & Approvals
Supervisors see pending work entries for approval with badge counts. Analytical dashboard with reports, charts and real-time sync status indicators — all functional in both online and offline modes.
Performance & Compatibility
Cold start in under 2 seconds, page loads under 1 second (cached: 0.5s), APK size ~6 MB. Compatible with Android 7.0 to 14+. Tested on 4.5″ to 7″ screens in both portrait and landscape. App v1.3.5 (latest: Jan 2026).
